When Communities Need Help,
History Takes Flight.
Disaster relief is the heartbeat of our operations. Whether responding to tornadoes, flooding, or hurricanes, the USAA-VFG flies critical relief supplies directly into the hands of local coordinators.
Coordinated Rapid Response
Our flights are coordinated directly with national organizations including **FEMA**, the **American Red Cross**, **Catholic Charities**, **United Way**, and state emergency services.
Unlike massive military operations or standard cargo airfreight, we specialize in "last-mile" volunteer aviation. Landing on grass runways and small municipal strips, the DC-3 bypasses gridlocked highway networks to drop aid right where it is needed.
"We don't just deliver boxes. We tell the stories of the community members, first responders, and volunteers fighting on the front lines."

Emergency Request
A disaster occurs (hurricane, tornado, wildfire). Relief organizations (FEMA, Red Cross, VFW posts) submit an urgent request to the USAA-VFG hangar hotline.
Airshow Intercept Announcement
In a disaster crisis, VFG immediately halts routine exhibition flying to redirect the DC-3. Listen to how our flight team announces an emergency take-off live on the airshow tarmac.
